Disney Pixar Cars 3 Toys // review

It’s no secret that Olly is a HUGE Disney Pixar Cars fan and he is literally bursting for the new release Cars 3 coming to cinema screens this Friday 14th July. On our recent holiday in France, we went to Disneyland Paris and we saw a five minute trailer for the new film and it looks epic, lots more fun and action with our favourite character Lightning McQueen taking on the latest racing hotshot Jackson Storm.

Inevitably with a new Disney Pixar film comes a whole new range of goodies and the selection that I have seen so far is fantastic. Olly was a very, very lucky boy recently when Disney sent him a box full of Cars 3 goodies and I’m pretty sure these are going to be a huge hit over the summer and will end up on birthday and Christmas wish lists over the next few months for all Cars mad fans.

Olly was sent a bumper selection of goodies including Lego Junior Sets, plush Cars 3 bag clips, a Cars 3 crayons set and a couple of packets of Cars 3 Micro Racers Blind Bags.

Perfect treats for pocket money spends

From a parents perspective, there’s a great range of toys that fit any budget. The Cars 3 Micro Racers blind bags are the perfect pocket money treat at just £2.49 each. Within each bag is a pocket sized die cast character car and a collectible poster.  The magic in each bag is that you don’t know what car is inside and there’s 12 to collect.

The plush bag clips are fun too, they’re really soft and the big plastic clip is easy for little hands to add their favourite bag clip onto their backpacks and school bags. The plush bag clips are priced at £6.99 and there’s 6 characters to collect including Lightning McQueen, Mater, Guido, Mack, Cruz Ramirez and Jackson Storm.

The Cars 3 crayons set is brilliant. It features 20 bold colours and the crayons are shaped into 3 of the main characters from the film; Lightning McQueen, Cruz Ramirez and Jackson Storm. Olly absolutely loves them and has been colouring in with them ever since they arrived. They would make a great present for birthdays along with a colouring book!

Lego Juniors for the win

Olly is a huge Lego fan so combining Lego and Cars 3 is a brilliant combination. We actually saw a selection of these sets in the Lego store at Disneyland Paris and Olly had his eye on a couple then so imagine his surprise when he saw them in the box of goodies from Disney. In actual Lego heaven!

In the Lego Juniors Cars 3 collection, there’s a range of sets from single car Lego sets to multiple Lego car sets. Prices start at just £7.99 and go up to £29.99 for the bigger sets (although prices may vary depending on retailers) which I think is brilliant for Lego as you can budget for the collection and keep adding to it as your budget (or pocket money allows).

The Lego Juniors Cars 3 collection is brilliant and Olly has loved building the sets and playing with them. The sets can be played with separately or can be combined for more imaginative play. They’re designed for children aged 4-7 and whilst Olly needs a little help with putting them together, his confidence has grown following the images in the instructions booklets so it won’t be long before he’s pulling them apart and rebuilding them himself.

Olly was sent Willy’s Speed Training (10742), Thunder Hollow Race (10744) and Lightning McQueen Speed Launcher (10730). The sets are brilliant and perfect for Lego and Disney Pixar Cars fans.

We cannot wait to watch the film this week and will sure to be adding more toys to our collection and wish lists over the next few months. Do you have a Disney Pixar Cars fan?

Finlay is exactly the same age as Ollie (10th Feb). I think he would love all of this as much as Ollie has. He use to be a huge Cars Fan and now it has all been reagnited with the rlease of cars 3. I love the idea of the pocket Monet Blind bags as Finlay always wants to go shopping for toys and these won’t break the bank! Thanks! #cars3 #triedtested
