#SlimmingSunday (Week 3 – 2017)

It’s Sunday which means it’s #SlimmingSunday here on Life According to MrsShilts. Welcome back to the new weightloss linky with me, MrsShilts and Michelle from Mummy From The Heart.

#SlimmingSunday

Thanks to everyone who linked up last week, it’s so good to read about everyone’s motivations. Whether it’s to get fitter, lose weight or just to improve your diet, I love how everyone is so different in their goals.

I had a good week on plan, I have been drinking lots of water and eating plenty of speed foods. Changing up my breakfasts and trying to stay within my syns allowance every day (except last night’s dinner where I did indulge in a burger but I was in control and it was delicious!) I lost 1lb at weigh in which was welcomed so another pound down. It’s just coming off so slowly now. I was really hoping it would speed up a bit but alas no. Can’t grumble too much as if I lost 1lb every week, I’d have lost over 52lb which is pretty awesome so onwards and downwards.

#SlimmingSunday

You might have caught this already this week but my very good friend Lucy (aka Mrs Bishop) was featured in The Daily Express. Lucy has lost a phenomenal amount of weight over the last few years and has slimmed down from a plus size to a svelte size 12. She’s absolutely amazing so if you’ve not read about her story yet, please do go and check her blog out here.

There’s 80 days left until I’ve got a pretty big hospital appointment so I really need to keep focused and remembering why I’m doing all this. You can find out more why I’m losing weight here. Lots can happen in 80 days and with the lighter evenings I’m hoping to get out more and even might start the C25k running programme again.  I know I need to move more and hopefully, this will help! I’ve invested in a Fitbit in a bid to get me moving more. I used to love hitting that 10k steps marker everyday.

Have linked up to my most recent post about it – which includes a bit of a weight loss update and chat abou my current thoughts/state of mind in terms of getting back to my pre Connie weight.

    WE CAN SO DO THIS!

    Love you!

It sounds like you’ve been doing well and I can’t believe you’ve lost so much weight already! I hope you do decide to do the C25K again as it is such a good programme. I love my Fitbit too. It’s so motivational. #slimmingsunday

I’ve just found you, but want to wish you all the best.

From someone who struggled with infertility & who has come out the other side, it can be a long, hard, lonely road. There are people out there who know what you are going through & can support you.

Don’t let anyone tell you that you should relax or adopt & get over it.

    Good Luck.

Well done on the weight loss this week! And you’re so right about the pounds adding up – I see it a lot in my SlimmingWorld group, that people always want to lose 3-4lbs a week, but a steady loss like 0.5-1.5lbs a week is much more sustainable.

I ready your reasons behind your weight loss efforts, and I wish you all the best! Thanks for hosting <3

Well done! I think the same, in a year that’s 52 lbs and if we weren’t sticking to plan it would be another stone or more on. So well done. I am going to try drinking more water as I have read it does help, lets see how I get on.

Yay, well done on that 1lb, like you say if you did that every week it would be a massive loss. Good luck on getting moving more now you have your fitbit. You’ll have to friend me on there. Mich x #SlimmingSunday
