Meal Planning Monday 27th February 2017

We skipped Meal Planning Monday last week as it was half term for us but it’s now back to school and back to work and routine awaits. We all thrive on routine in our house so it’ll be good to get back into our normal working pattern and into the throws of meal planning.

Meal Planning Monday 1x3

Despite it being the end of the month, we have quite a bit of meat in the freezer so we’ll be using up the majority of this for our meals this week. We’ve got Porky Light sausages, Heck Italia sausages and chicken breasts in and we’ve bought some lean beef mince too as it’s a staple in our fridge every week.

Here’s what’s on the menu for our evening meals this week;

Porky Light sausages, mashed potatoes and vegetables
Diet Coke Chicken with rice
Spaghetti Bolognese
Heck Italia Sausages with actifry chips and peas
Slow Cooker Beef Stew

Lunches this week will be homemade soups and meat and pickle platters . We went to the Peak District at the weekend and had the yummiest ham Ploughmans at a little tea room. It was really nice and it reminded me how much I really love pickles. Pickled onions, gherkins, pickled cabbage are my absolute favourite and I really should include more of them in my lunches as they’re speed foods on the SW Extra Easy Plan and synfree.

Breakfasts this week will be the usual cereals with added speedy fruits; Weetabix crunchy bran, Weetabix additions, Weetabix Crispy Minis (ha, didn’t realise we were such Weetabix addicts!) Olly loves his crispy minis in the morning with a couple of rounds of toast and some milk.

Both my husband and I are still trying hard with our weight loss and hopefully we’ll see results this week on the scales. Last week I gained 0.5lb and my husband stayed the same so we are both hoping for losses this week.

What are you eating this week?
