Happy Monday! It’s another week, another Monday and it’s a week that I’m really looking forward too. It’s Olly’s fourth birthday on Friday and so this week will be all about getting ready for his big day. We’re having a little tea party for him in the week before his birthday as on Friday we’re going away for the weekend to celebrate. Such an exciting week and I can’t wait to see his face when he sees his birthday cake.
Before then we have lots to do. We have our usual evening commitments as well as balloons and the cake to fetch, party food to collect and presents to wrap. I don’t feel very organise but it will all be ready before his birthday.
Last week we had a great week on plan. We had all the meals in the fridge and all the food got used up which is what I love about meal planning. Nothing was wasted and all our meals that we had intended to eat were eaten.
Frustratingly, I only lost 1lb last week. Another good week on plan wasn’t really rewarded on the scales. However Greg (my husband) lost 4lb and again was awarded the Slimmer of the Week certificate. He’s now lost over a stone in 4 weeks, he’s doing incredibly well, I’m a little bit jealous!

Olly’s birthday tea party; finger sandwiches and party food (not very SW friendly but will try to adapt it)
We’ve been varying our lunches for work this week and insstead of having homemade soups, we’ve been making salads. I’m rather partial to a boiled egg and ham salad and Greg is loving chicken caeser salad with pasta or cous cous.
I made a beautiful breakfast over the weekend of french toast and fruit. I didn’t have any cinnamon in the house so had to make do with a sweetened egg mix to coat my bread but I didn’t miss it much. It was beautiful. Really different to what I would usually have so will have this again when I get chance to make it.
