Another Monday, another Meal Planning post. Last week we had a really good week meal wise. The fridge was stocked with fresh, yummy ingredients and we did well with sticking to plan. I’m sure if you’ve read my previous meal planning Monday posts, you’ll know that we meal plan for the week ahead and then decide what to eat on the day instead of rigidly sticking to a plan. We all know how our moods / day jobs can shape what we eat and we are no exception.
This week we have a pretty normal week except for having the kitchen tiles fitted on Thursday which I am ridiculously excited about. We had our kitchen fitted back in the Summer of 2011 and so I can’t quite believe it’s taken us this long to get the tiles up on the wall. I guess that’s what happens when you have a baby, money runs out super quick and other things take priority. Also, this is an excellent example of me taking charge and organising stuff myself as stuff actually gets done!
Our meal plan for this week is pretty simple but it’s all super tasty and will help me and my husband Greg stay on track. I lost 1lb last week (8lb in two weeks) which I was a bit disappointed with. Greg lost 4lb taking his total in 2 weeks to 9lb, impressive hey? We are both determined to lose as much weight as we can this year, we know our weight is affecting our health and our chances of conceiving a baby so we know what we need to do!
Here’s what’s on the meal plan this week
Slimming World Fakeaway Chicken Chow Mein (0.5 syn per portion)
Slimming World Chicken Nuggets, Actifry chips and beans (with salad)
Slow Cooker Beef Stew (0.5 syn per portion)
Diet Coke Chicken with savoury rice (synfree)
SW Ready Meals (when the kitchen is out of action for tiles but we can use the microwave)
Slimming World Fakeaway Beef in Black Bean Sauce with boiled rice (synfree)
We are at a family party at the weekend so will probably eat something sensible before we go. I am so bad at resisting the buffet so will fill up on soup or something relatively healthy before we go to stop me picking. Failing that I’m going to take a bag of apples with me and whenever I get the urge to eat, I’m going to eat an apple (Thanks to Jen over on Instagram for that logic which works by the way!)
As usual all my Slimming World meals are going up on my Slimming World Instagram page, keeping me accountable and sharing the love for what SW can do.
I have high hopes for Tuesday nights weigh in as I want to crack this stone bracket and get back down in to the one below (again!) the joys of gaining over Christmas and holidays.
I’m hoping to blog a few more recipes over the next few weeks, I’ve just not had time of late and really want to get some new recipes up. Watch this space!
