Creating a dream bedroom for a vehicle obsessed pre-schooler

*A collaborative post

When I was pregnant with Olly, I knew I wanted to decorate his nursery in calm neutral colours perfect for our new little member of the family. I figured this would be the only time when I had a real say in how his bedroom would be decorated because as he got older with interests of his own, I knew it would be his space to decide how he wanted it to look.

Fast forward four years and Olly’s bedroom has become filled with all sorts of vehicles, racing tracks and wooden train sets. He loves every vehicle imaginable and so we’re looking ahead to next year to give his bedroom a little redecoration with his vehicle obsession in mind.

Vehicle Themed bedroom

Bedding – There’s a huge range of vehicle inspired bedding available and I’m sure Olly would love a duvet and pillow case set to compliment his room. With cars, lorries and pick up trucks featuring on this bedspread, it would be perfect for his new bedroom.

Rug – Every vehicle obsessed child loves to play on imaginary tracks so imagine their delight at having their very own track on the floor in their bedroom. This roundabout rug features diggers and loaders which are sure to help their imaginations run riot.

Road Signs – Every driver needs to abide by the law and there’s a brilliant range of signs that would look fantastic on the wall in his bedroom. Stocksigns have a huge selection of traffic and car park signs available whether it’s a sign advising of No Parking, directions to the Car Park or the advice on the Speed Limit, these signs will look fantastic on the wall in his bedroom.

Wall Stickers – These wall stickers are great for adding another element to the theme and being self-adhesive you can place them where you like on the wall making up a short or long road with as many turns or junctions as your little ones fancy.

Track Jigsaw – We love these track jigsaws as you can create whatever track you like by building the jigsaw. With easy to put together pieces, little ones will aid their own development through play as well as it looking the part in their bedroom.

Car Cushion – To complete the look, throw a car cushion on top of the bed and the room is perfect for a vehicle obsessed pre-schooler.

Oh this looks fab Emma! My youngest likes vehicles but her favourite is Thomas the tank engine, I think we’d have to have him in her room if we were to redo it!
