Stocking up on Christmas essentials at Poundstretcher

*A collaborative post

With just a few shopping days left until Christmas, the to-do list is still never ending. With presents to wrap and deliver, the big Christmas food shop to tackle as well as buying all the other essentials that you always need at Christmas time, heading to Poundstretcher could help you tick off the to-do list much more quickly.

I was recently invited into my local store to have a look around and see if Poundstretcher could help me stock up on the Christmas essentials. Armed with a list of things I was looking for, I was keen to have a good look in store and fill my basket with goodies.

Party Tableware

Every year the family on my Mom’s side, all take it in turns to host a Christmas party a few days after the big day. It’s a chance for everyone to catch up, exchange gifts and have fun eating delicious party foods. This year my Sister is hosting the day and I’m helping contribute to the food, drink and tableware. As no-one wants to waste time in the kitchen doing the washing up, buying paper plates, napkins and plastic cups will serve a purpose and can be disposed of easily after the party.

Nibbles and Party Snacks

I do love a good family party and no party is complete without party snacks and nibbles. I picked up this selection of snacks in Poundstretcher as they’ll make a great addition to the snack table. Who doesn’t love crisps, nuts and savoury cheesy nibbles at a party.

Other Christmas Essentials

As I was walking around the store, I saw several things that I knew I had to stock up on; batteries, clear tape, bottle bags and stocking fillers.

Every Parent needs a stock of batteries in various sizes in the cupboard for just in case. It’s only when we have none in the house that we need a couple for one of Olly’s toys or the TV remote stops working. Bottle bags are always in need over Christmas. Whether you’re catching up with friends and you take a bottle to help celebrate the festive season or you’re gifting your neighbour for taking in the parcels, bottle gifts always look nicer wrapped in a bottle bag. Clear tape is essential at this time of year. There’s always plenty of wrapping to do and you always need more than you think you do! Stocking fillers are great to bulk out the children’s stockings. These chocolate treats are Star Wars and Paw Patrol themed boxes with mini bags of chocolates inside. Great as a little treat for little ones.

I’d definitely recommend heading down to Pounstretcher to stock up on all those little bits and pieces before Christmas. There’s a great range of products to choose from and there’s even things you didn’t really know you needed! To find out where your local store is and what their Christmas opening hours are, you can visit the Poundstretcher website here.

We always go there for little bits and stocking fillers too, much cheaper than other places and sells the same good quality stuff.
