Admittedly, cleaning windows has never been my favourite pastime. My sister popped round recently and was appalled at how dirty my windows and I’m ashamed to say, I have never really noticed. We used to pay a window cleaner to come and clean the outside windows for us but he has stopped coming round and with life being so busy we never got round to finding another one. Thankfully, Vileda recently sent us the Windowmatic to review and it has been a great addition to our cleaning schedule.
The Vileda Windowmatic is lightweight and easy to hold. It has two main parts; the main unit and the nozzle. The Windowmatic comes with a charger and a charger cable. Before use, you need to charge the unit for 6 hours and once it’s charged it can last for up to 60 square metres or 20 minutes total cleaning time.
It’s very easy to use. You simply wet and wash your windows as you normally would and then with the Windowmatic you put the nozzle to the window and pull down. The Windowmatic will draw away any moisture on the window leaving you with a streak free shiny clean window. It does takes a couple of goes to achieve a streak free shine but that’s mainly down to the user not the product.
The Windowmatic has some great features including a flexible neck helping you to reach corners and edges with ease, it doesn’t drip when in use and all the excess moisture is drawn away into the nozzle and down into a removable container. This container is dishwasher friendly so really convenient to clean ready for another use and it’s really light to hold so your arms won’t heavy when using it up at the window.
I always used to hate cleaning the shower glass, the mirrors and the windows but with the Windowmatic it’s really easy to achieve a super shiny window. Our windows have never been cleaner and it’s actually quite addictive, which is something I never thought I would hear myself say!
The Vileda Windowmatic is avilable to buy online and is priced at £49.99.
