Across the UK, there are thousands of households harbouring a secret. A secret that’s about to be uncovered as npower search for the families with skills and super powers. Can you juggle the cutlery whilst eating your dinner, maybe you can walk on your hands to answer the door or do silly impressions that impress (or mortify) the kids?
According to research from npower, Dad dancing tops the polls for the most popular (or cringe worthy) talent. The polls show that an amazing 79% of us have a secret everyday super power, with dad dancing topping the polls for the most popular talent. The top 5 super powers that us Brits wished we had were 1) photographic memory 2) back flipping 3) doing the splits 4) hula hooping 5) moonwalking.
They’ve enlisted the help of super Dad and celebrity Peter Andre to help find and celebrate the nations superpowers and they’d love you to get involved too!
As a family, we like to think that we have our own superpowers. I can multi-task like a pro, emptying the dishwasher whilst prepping and cooking the tea, watching a TV programme on catch up and still keeping an eye on a destructive three year old playing with his toys in the next room.
My husband is a bit of a Dad dancer. He used to be a DJ so loves to turn the music up when he’s doing some jobs around the house. I’ll often come downstairs to find our three year old and my husband getting their groove on, bopping around the lounge or the kitchen with the vacuum or the duster. They’re having the time of their lives and to be honest, I really don’t mind. They’re hilarious to watch together.
npower know that we’re a nation of families with everyday superpowers and want to share them. They want to see the wonderful, quirky, clever, interesting, not to mention practical skills that families have and are encouraging families to head down to their npower superpower roadshows to uncover their skills.
For families in the West Midlands, you can pop down to the npower superpower roadshow at Grand Central between Friday 28th and Sunday 30th October. Peter Andre himself will be there on Saturday 29th October to watch the superpowers in action. How exciting!
Roadshow dates are;
