More Treat than Trick at Drayton Manor Park this half term

This half term, it’s more treat than tricks at Drayton Manor Park, Staffordshire. From 15th to 30th October, Drayton Manor Park will host it’s Halloween event with lots of spooky fun on offer for all the family.

For the little ones, Thomas Land will be transformed into the ‘spooktacular’ island of Sodor. Will you feel the fear on Bertie Bus or get come over all dizzy on Captain’s Sea Adventure? The Fat Controller is also offering his very own trick or treats if his door is knocked.

For the brave, the newly refurbished attraction, The Haunting, is a must see. With over twenty years of frightful experiences, The Haunting has scared thousands of visitors over the years and thrives on throwing visitors into a sensory overload with seeing paranormal activity, smelling odd smells, feeling different sensations, hearing odd noises and even brushing up against slimy and revolting things with its spine-chilling interactive activities. Based on the legend of the Drayton Manor Estate vicarage where the sudden passing of the vicar led to unexplainable events and strange activities. Is it a true story? I’m definitely not brave enough to step foot into the vicarage, I’ll hold the coats!

If the spooky, spine tingling, goosebump ‘did that really happen?’ stuff isn’t your cup of tea, you could scare yourself senseless by taking a ride on the UK’s scariest ride (as voted by Channel Five’s The Gadget Show), Apocalypse. Get the fright of your life on Shockwave or will you brave the monsoon on Stormforce 10? I’ll hold your coats, I’m such a wimp!

There’s plenty for the whole family at Drayton Manor Park this half term, prices start from just £23 for adults, £18 for children and 60+ years. 2-3 year olds cost just £6 and 0-1 years are absolutely free. To get your scarefest fill this half term, you can book tickets by visiting or by calling 0844 472 1950.
