Help Us Keep Families Close with McDonald’s #ad

If your child fell seriously ill and needed urgent specialist care, wouldn’t you want to be by their side no matter what. Wouldn’t you would want to be there for them regardless of the challenges you may face, nor the miles away from home that the specialist care would be? Luckily, Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) are there to help.

Did you know there are currently 14 Ronald McDonald Houses in the UK all located near specialist children’s hospitals? There are houses near Birmingham Children’s Hospital, Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and St Georges Hospital, London to name just a few. Ronald McDonald House Charities provide free family accommodation and support to families with seriously ill children across the UK but they need our support.

This Saturday 22nd October, McDonald’s restaurants around the UK will be fundraising to contribute towards the funds needed to continue this lifeline of support. Customers will be able to purchase four new wild jungle themed animal soft toys for just £2.50 each from the Kiosk, front counters and Drive-thru windows with 100% of sales and donations going direct to the charity.

There’s the Leopard, Monkey, Crocodile and Elephant jungle soft toys to choose from. Which one’s your favourite?

Last year Ronald McDonald’s House Charities raised over £3.9million through restaurant soft toy sales and via the donation box and they hope to do the same this year. By raising such a phenomenal amount, the charity is able to help support more families in a ‘home away from home’ and helps keep families close together during the tough times.

If you’ve ever wondered where the spare change you donate via the donation boxes in McDonald’s restaurants goes, celebrity Dad and campaign ambassador Jeff Brazier can help.

So this Saturday, head down to your local McDonald’s restaurants with the children to show your support for such a worthwhile cause. You never know when you may need their help!

I like the fact that they do this. I know someone who had to make use of it unexpectedly and it sounded like a godsend.
