When I was younger, I was always fascinated with flying. We didn’t fly much when we were younger as my Mom was, and still is, petrified of flying but I loved hearing all about friends travels abroad and how their flights were and what they got up to.
During my late teenage years, one of my very close friends began to work with a transatlantic travel company as one of their flight attendants and I was fascinated to hear all her stories of the flights she had taken, the places she had visited and the people she was looking after on board her flights. She always looked super glamorous and was every inch the stylist flight attendant. I was hugely envious of her career choice and lifestyle.
As a family, we love to travel abroad and take flights to foreign countries. We have flown with a number of airlines over the last few years and I love to watch the flight attendants go about their routine. They always looks effortlessly stylish and I love their uniforms.
This infographic from Opodo shows how flight attendant uniforms have changed over the years. I think they always look really professional and smart given that they’re handling food and drink.

Our cousin has recently completed her training with a local airline and is now a fully-fledged flight attendant flying all around Europe. She is fulfilling a lifelong dream and we are so proud of her. She’s just started out on what we expect to be an amazing career, she’ll no doubt be taking long haul flights around the world seeing the sights and having some amazing adventures and we can’t wait to hear all about it.
In the meantime, we’ll be planning our next flight for next year’s Summer holiday and hoping it’s to somewhere hot and sunny!
