Can you believe we’re into July already? The weeks are rolling past quickly aren’t they? This weekend we’ve been away at the lovely Chesford Grange Hotel and Spa in Warwickshire (full review to follow) and it’s been a real treat. I’ve been feeling far too stressed lately so time away from the house, the chores and the to-do list has been very welcome!
We did well with our meal planning last week. Eating all the meals we had planned and prepped for which was great as the fridge was rather empty on Friday afternoon when we went away. I love that we’ve been able to use up all the ingredients and there’s very little waste. It makes me feel much happier knowing we have eaten well and the budget hasn’t ended up in the bin.
This week it’s business as usual, we’ve got a full working week ahead and a weekend at home to look forward to. Here’s what’s coming up on our meal plan this week.
Slimming World bean and rice burritos with summer salsa
Slimming World chicken kievs, actifry roasted new potatoes and salad
Steak, SW chips and vegetables
A healthy ‘grill up’ (think fry up but healthy food and grilled)
Slimming World chill con carne
I’ve heard that there’s a wholemeal bread mix available from Asda which can be used as part of the Healthy B allowance so I’m hoping to get my hands on some of that this week and make my own SW pizza for next Saturday. I really want to start experimenting with foods and make new things so I’m hoping this will give me the encouragement in the kitchen to re-ignite my enjoyment for cooking in the kitchen.
