Drayton Manor welcomes 50 millionth visitor

Earlier this year, we were delighted to join forces with Drayton Manor Park and Zoo to become one of their family ambassadors for the year. We really love Drayton Manor, it’s our local theme park and one of Olly’s most favourite places ever as it’s home to Thomas Land  which features rides and characters from the very popular television show.

Drayton Manor Park

Drayton Manor holds very special memories for me, as I fondly remember celebrating my 16th birthday there with some friends many moons ago. So it is no surprise that last month, Drayton Manor welcomed their 50 millionth visitor to the park. That’s 50 million visitors through the gates over the last 66 years and to put that into context that’s one million visitors every single year. That’s one very popular theme park!

The park opened in 1950 by the Bryan family and has become a multi-award winning theme park. We have always enjoyed family days out there and will continue to do so as it grows from strength to strength with new rides and attractions coming to the park.

Drayton Manor Park in Tamworth, Staffordshire remains family owned and is now run by second and third generation family members. Not only are there rides for all the family, there’s a zoo which recently welcomed beautiful Tamarins to the park in the Tamarin Trail. There’s also a 4D cinema seating over 150 people and beautiful woodland countryside to enjoy.

We hope to enjoy the Summer at the park this year with Olly braving different rides every time we visit. Last time we visited we enjoyed a train ride around the grounds and spent a good hour playing in Spencer’s playground. It’s a fantastic day out for all the family, we highly recommend visiting this Summer.
