At the end of May, we were invited down to London by the team at NUTMEG to see their latest collection of kids clothing for Autumn Winter. We are already huge fans of the NUTMEG clothing range and have been kitting Olly’s wardrobe out in their clothes for the last three years. We couldn’t wait to see what the new collection looked and we weren’t disappointed.
NUTMEG have put together a fantastic range of clothing for kids to wear this Autumn Winter and have based their designs on the latest trends to hit the catwalk; woodland animals, space, slogan and layering.
The three collections launching this AW16 are Let’s Play, Liberty and New Forest. I love that the collections all have their individual styles with Let’s Play being all about comfort, with bright appealing colours and engaging designs. Liberty is bringing nostalgia to the high street with floral patterns and muted tones and New Forest is embracing the woodland vibe with playful prints and cute woodland animals.
We couldn’t wait to see what NUTMEG were bringing out and immediately lots of pieces caught our eye. Our favourite trend for Autumn Winter is most definitely space.
With Tim Peake’s latest space adventures inspiring wannabe astronauts up and down the country, the clothing in the space collection is sure to be a big hit with its glow in the dark features, sew on badges and superhero capes. Prices start from an unbelievable £3.50 and in store from the end of August.
Our favourite pieces from this collection were the glow in the dark spaceman print, the astronaut hoodie and grey reflective jacket which when worn in the dark, will reflect car headlights ensuring children will be seen and safe on the pavements on the way home from school.
The New Forest collection is another one of our favourites combining autumnal colours with playful designs. Our favourite pieces from this collection included the faux fur hooded parka with its super cool arm patch and snuggly lining. Priced at just £16 and in store from 12th July, it’s a bit of a bargain.
I love that NUTMEG have offered on trend clothes that are both practical and affordable. Having dressed Olly in a lot of their clothes over the last few years, I can vouch for their quality and durability. With their thoughtful details, children’s clothing has never been so accessible.
With the venue all decorated in keeping with the theme of New Forest, Olly met some new friends and was brave enough to hold an owl, have a guinea pig on his lap for cuddles and meet a bunny rabbit.
I couldn’t let Olly hold an owl without braving it myself. The owl was so well behaved, he didn’t flinch at my nervousness but wow, I held an owl!
We loved looking at the new Autumn Winter collections from NUTMEG. The new range will be available in stores over the coming weeks in selected Morrisons stores.
Many thanks to NUTMEG for inviting us to the event.
