Late to the party with posting this week’s Meal Planning Monday but it’s been a busy weekend and when I finally got chance to write this post last night, my blog was down. That was my nod to head off to bed so I did!
It’s been a weekend full of treats so this week’s meals are going to be low syn and synfree where possible. On Friday, I headed down to London to meet with Boots for a pre-Britmums meeting. We went to a posh restaurant in Mayfair and were treated to smoothies and nibbles. Later in the evening I met up with friends and had a drink or three, although I did order a skinny burger with a salad for my tea (polishes battered halo!)
On Saturday, at Britmums, I started the day off well with an on-plan breakfast then it went all down hill from there as I ate the food that was on offer throughout the day. On Sunday, I went to a local hotel and spa for afternoon tea for my friends birthday celebrations. We had a delicious afternoon tea with finger sandwiches, scones with cream and jam and a plate full of other little sweet treats.
Today, I feel bloated and just generally bleugh, so have been back on plan and hoping there won’t be too much damage on the scales tomorrow! In reality, I know I’ll gain. It was time of the month last week and for the last two weeks I’ve just felt awful to be honest. Really need to detox my body and have a steady ‘on-plan’ few weeks!
Our meal plan for the week is pretty basic
- Chicken Caeser Salad
- Diet Coke Chicken with savoury rice
- Sczechuan Pork with noodles
- Filled omelettes with salad
We’ve got plans to eat out at the weekend so I’m hoping I can choose wisely and up my non-existent level of exercise. I really need to get out walking, since losing Mikey (our beloved dog) getting daily exercise has been the least of my worries but I do really need to get a shift on and get out there.
