We were spoiled last weekend with a glimpse of the summer sunshine, sadly it only lasted a couple of days before the British monsoon came back again. Seriously, what is it with our weather?
It’s been a good week so far with family birthdays and lazy days at home. I always try and cram in so much during Friday to Sunday as Monday to Thursday are ridiculously busy for me being at work all day. There’s not enough weekend in my week at all!
Anyway onto this week’s #LittleLoves..
This week I’ve been reading more blogs and attempting to comment on more. I read a lot on my phone every morning before I get up and again before I go to bed at night. Isn’t it a blogger trait to read and check social media before you go to sleep and get up or is that just me?
I have loved watching Olly playing in the sunshine this week. Unfortunately, our garden is more of a yard than a garden so isn’t ideal for slides, paddling pools and the like but is perfect for scooting, driving mini BMW’s and playing football in.
Although it’s not perfect, we are lucky to have outdoor space to ourselves and can let Olly play safely outside with his toys.
I’ve enjoyed listening to some old school music this week. In the car CD player we’ve had Whitney Houston, Spice Girls and Take That. I had to take my car in for a service so I removed all the CDs from the car whilst it was in the garage and uncovered a couple of gems in the glovebox that I had forgotten about. Such a shame that Whitney’s gone, she had such an incredible voice.
Over the last week I made some really good choices with my diet in mind. I only had one drink at the pub on Saturday, a refreshing glass of Pimms with the essential slice of cucumber and couple of strawberries. I also said no to pudding and tried to limit what I picked up from the cheese and crackers buffet at my Grandparents house.
My wise choices played a good part this week in me losing 4.5lb so I’m pretty pleased with myself.
With the sun shining, it was time to wear in the new sandals. I actually saw these sandals on Twitter in the week and loved the look of them. A nice little discount code tempted me to buy them and I’m so glad I did. They are so comfy and look fabulous with my new denim dress and painted toes!
It’s been lovely this week to spend some time with my family. To celebrate my Nan’s 80th birthday, we all went over to see her and have a meal together and had a good catch up on family news. I can’t quite imagine living to the age of 80 but my Nan has done really well despite her aches and pains, and naively believes she’s still in her twenties. Definitely young at heart! Happy Birthday Nan, we love you lots.
