Win a £100 VISA Gift Card with DC Super Hero Girls

As a three year old, Olly’s interest in superheroes has only really just begun. He’s well aware of his older cousin’s favourite superheroes such as Batman and Superman and will quickly point them out if we see them on a television programme or an advert. I’m fully expecting his interest in them to develop over the next few months and I’m sure it won’t be long until he asks to wear a superhero costume around the house whilst he pretends he’s saving the world from a meteor from outer space.

He doesn’t really understand who they all are and isn’t at all aware that most of the superheroes he’s seen are male! For myself, I grew up in the 80’s with female superheroes such as Wonder Woman and She-Ra being dominant popular TV characters, both of which aren’t really seen on televisions today.

To address the imbalance of a heavily male dominated super hero line up, DC Entertainment have launched a brand new cast of female superheroes, the DC Super Hero Girls. This new animated series features a dynamic group of Super Heroes on their adventures of discovery as they learn more about their unique abilities and friendships. There’s a range of characters for children to identify with, some are fearless and edgy, others are fun and strong and I love that the series gives all children additional choice as not all super heroes have to be of the male variety.

There’s a brand new YouTube channel where you can catch up with the latest episodes of DC Super Hero Girls and for all their new fans, there’s a range of games, printable activities to download and more available on the DC Super Hero Girls website.

To celebrate the launch of the new DC Super Hero Girls series, I’m delighted to be able to share this exciting giveaway with you where you can win a £100 Visa Gift Card.

Please note the giveaway is being managed externally so please do read the terms and conditions on the rafflecopter widget. Good luck!
