Sunshine, smiles and sunsets #LittleLoves

It’s been another busy week (when aren’t they?) but the sunshine has made a rare appearance and it’s lifted the spirits with high hopes for a bright and sunny weekend. Hopefully, we’ll be out in the garden tidying up and thinking up plans of how to improve it on a budget so we can really get the best of the space we have. Anyways, on to this week’s #LittleLoves

As I said last week, I don’t read many books at all really but I do read blogs, magazines and the news on the web. This week my favourite blog post has come from Mama Mim, a kick ass Mum living in Oz who was recently diagnosed with cancer. Mim has written a post about gift ideas for cancer patients and it bought back a whole load of emotions for me remembering my lovely friend Tanya. It’s really hard to know how to show someone going through the ordeal of such an illness that you care aside from being there, so Mim gives us some ideas on what she’s received and how they’ve helped her.

I’ve loved the telly this week. I go through phases of not watching anything and then seem to watch loads. This week I’ve been gripped to the finale of Happy Valley. It’s a bit grim but Sarah Lancashire plays a really gritty police lady and I’ve really enjoyed the series. Fingers crossed there’s another series coming up next year.

Olly has been telling lots of great stories this week. My particular favourite has been all about his baby in his tummy which luckily turned out to be Little Ted under his pyjama top! I love listening to the world through his eyes. Makes me look at everything in a completely different perspective and no, I’m still not pregnant so not sure where he’s got the baby thing from!

Over the weekend we made yummy spicy stuffed peppers and they were delicious. Such an easy thing to make, the house smelt wonderful and they’re so filling.

It’s a bit cheesy but this week, I’ve been wearing a smile more often. No particular reason but the sunshine and impromptu cuddles from my little man have helped.

And Lastly…

This sunset on Monday evening was beautiful. The sky was a beautiful mix of blue, pink and yellow and it was just stunning. No matter what goes on during the day, the sun will set on the day paving the way for a fresh day of opportunity.
