Easter nests, HEMA and The Night Manager #LittleLoves

Happy Good Friday! I’m sure you’ll agree with me how fabulous it is that the Easter holidays are here. I’ve got four whole days off with my gorgeous boy and my hubby and we’ve got a fun filled weekend planned which we can’t wait for. Lots of adventures, travels and quality time so fingers crossed the weather stays dry but we all know what happens on a Bank Holiday, fingers crossed the sun makes an appearance! Here’s this weeks #LittleLoves

Read

The only thing I’ve managed to read this week is some of the recipes from the latest copy of Slimming World magazine. It’s always packed with recipes and ideas and I love the stories that completely motivate me to stay on track. I’m hoping one day I’ll get the chance to appear in a magazine with my weightloss but I have a long way to go yet!

Watched

This week has been all about The Night Manager. I didn’t watch it from the beginning but had heard from the girls at work how good it was so I caught up on iPlayer over a couple of nights and was gripped. It’s one of those series where I need to watch it without distraction as it’s so fast paced, I can’t wait to see how it all comes together at the end.

Heard

In the car this week, Olly has loved listening to Coldplay. He’s loved one of their tracks that he had heard on CBeebies of all places and I played him the song in the car and without telling him who it was, he told me it was Coldplay! I was so impressed, he’s so clever! It was Adventure of a Lifetime for anyone guessing which song it was.

Made

Olly and I made chocolate Easter nests on Sunday which was quite fun. Olly loves to get in the kitchen and make a mess so with the help of a few goodies sent from HEMA this week we’ve been able to make some fabulous Easter cakes.

How cute is the cake stand? Really easy to put together and fantastic for displaying all the Easter bits and pieces. We’ve got some squidgy marshmallows and mini chocolate eggs from them too so we’re hopefully going to make some yummy cupcakes with those next week which Olly is excited about.

I only recently discovered HEMA. They’re a Dutch brand with the most fabulous range of products. I’ve recently bought some bits and bobs for my lounge from there and there’s a store fairly local in Birmingham so that’s rather exciting and i’ll be definitely visiting the store very soon!

Wore

I bought myself a new top this week from Next and I love it. It’s something I wouldn’t have worn previous to my weight loss so I was quite pleased with buying it in 4 sizes smaller than the clothes I wore at the start of my Slimming World journey. I lost 2lb this week and i’m now down to my lowest weight in 18 months, woop!

And Lastly…

I’m delighted to share a little bit of happy blog news with you. We’ve been chosen as Drayton Manor Theme Park and Birmingham Sea Life Centre Ambassadors for the year ahead and we are so excited! You’ll notice a couple of new ambassador badges in my sidebar so we can’t wait to share with you our trips and adventures there over the next twelve months. I’m not sure if Olly understands that we have unlimited access to Thomas Land just yet but as soon as the penny drops I think we’ll be there every weekend!

Have a lovely Easter whatever you’re up to, I hope it’s full of fun, giggles and enjoyment!
