Celebrating Pancake Day with I Just Love It

This year Shrove Tuesday or Pancake Day as we all know it, falls on Tuesday 9th February. We all love pancakes in our house so every year we all like to indulge in a pancake or two complete with our very own favourite toppings; lemon juice and sugar for me and hubby and chocolate sauce for Olly.

On Friday, as I was at home with Olly we decided to make some pancakes for Olly’s lunch instead of waiting for Tuesday evening when we know he will be more than tired from a busy day with his Grandparents.

Olly loves to help out in the kitchen so when I Just Love It offered to send Olly some little gifts just for him I knew he would be thrilled. I Just Love It are a personalised gift company that sell a huge catalogue of gifts for all occasions whether it’s a birthday, a wedding or anniversary with gifts that can be completely personalised making it a unique and truly wonderful gift for that special someone.

When I told Olly we were making pancakes he was really excited. He was even more excited when I gave him his very own apron that had been personalised with his name. This personalised Mummy’s Little Helper apron is fabulous for little ones who love to help out in the kitchen and Olly loves it.

Making pancakes is great fun for little ones as long as you don’t mind a bit of mess in the kitchen. They love to stir up the pancake batter and Olly now has his very own wooden spoon so that he can help out with Mummy or Daddy in the kitchen. It’s amazing how giving him his own tools can make all the difference.

We had a brilliant half hour in the kitchen whipping up some pancakes and decorating them with some chocolate buttons from Olly’s treat stash tin. What a great idea this personalised treat tin is? We’ve put all Olly’s Christmas chocolate in the tin and he’ll be able to help himself (under our supervision, of course) to his chocolates, well it keeps him away from my rationed diet friendly stash anyway!

The pancakes went down a treat even if they did resemble scrambled egg. Olly devoured them and we now have a new pancake fan! Are you a pancake lover? Will you be treating yourself on Tuesday?

We were sent these products for the purpose of this review, all words and images are my own.
