We’re into week three of the longest stretch of January, doesn’t it seem like a really long month? When we got paid in December (just before Christmas) our bank account looked very healthy but realistically you can’t actually touch it until January! Fast forward four weeks and we’re now at the end of our food budget with more month left over than I would like.
It’s Meal Planning Sunday again so we’ve bought some fresh meat, fruit and vegetables for our usual breakfasts and salads this week and we’re raiding the freezer and the cupboards to make the stocks last a little longer.
Last week we had a good week. We ate all the meals we had planned and used up some of the vegetables that had seen better days for my Leek and Potato soup and more mini crustless quiche which were a brilliant addition to my work lunches.
I went to Aquafit on Wednesday evening and loved it! It was brilliant. The water was cool but once we were in the water moving around we didn’t seem to mind it. I’ll definitely be going back as I felt the benefit of it on Thursday morning as my muscles felt like they had worked so that’s a good thing.
We have a couple of meal reviews to enjoy this week. One at our local Harvester and one at a Crown Carveries restaurant. I’ll be attempting to be as good as possible with SW in mind and of course the boys will enjoy eating non-SW food and delicious puddings.
