MrsShilts’ Christmas gift guide for Star Wars fans

Star Wars Gift Guide

Unless you’ve been sleeping under a rock this year, you’ll know that Star Wars is back and is bigger than ever. The shops are full of Star Wars bits and pieces perfect for those Star Wars fans, young and old. My 7 year old nephew has become quite the fan this year and is eagerly awaiting the release of the latest film, Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens which is due out in cinemas on 17th December 2015.

Although I confess to being a bit clueless when it comes to knowing a Jedi from Yoda, the release of the new Star Wars film is a big deal for many this year which makes buying a Christmas gift for them pretty easy. There really is so much to choose from, it just depends on your budget.

Here’s my top picks from shopping online recently;

  • Star Wars Lego – The George Home Lego collection is full of Lego sets for both young and older Star Wars fans. We’ve got our nephew a couple of boxes of Lego to play with this Christmas as not only will they be wonderful collectors items when they’re built, but they’ll make him concentrate when building them which will provide hours of peace and quiet for the family (only joking K *wink*)
  • Flametrooper Pop Vinyl Figure – Inspired by the latest film, this First Order Flametrooper bobblehead figure is a must for all Star Wars fans newly decorated bedrooms.
  • Star Wars Activity Books – Everyone loves a colouring book for Christmas and this activity book combines pages for colouring, Star Wars themed activities and stickers. Perfect for screen free time over Christmas and beyond.
  • Darth Vader Lamp – My nephew’s bedroom has recently been decked out in Star Wars paraphenalia from the curtains to the border so this Darth Vader lamp is a great addition to his new room.
  • Star Wars Annual 2016 – Taking me back to my childhood when every Christmas we were given a new annual to enjoy, now our Star Wars fan can read all about his favourite film and characters.
  • Darth Vader Lightsaber – No Star Wars gift guide would be complete without the inclusion of a Lightsaber. With realistic motion controlled sound effects, this lightsaber lights ups when to resemble Darth Vader’s iconic weapon.

What are you buying your Star Wars fans for Christmas? Will you be heading to the cinema before Christmas to feel the force?

Thanks to George at Asda for partnering with me for this post and sending my nephew a couple of Star Wars treats for Christmas.
