It’s feeling well and truly autumnal here now and with the nights drawing in well before 6pm, I’m definitely thinking about warming comfort food and what meals we can make in the slow cooker. I’m practically salivating over the smell of food cooking as I walk in through the front door.
This week we’ve not got much on. It’s a usual week ahead with hubby’s darts and my Slimming World class. We’re hoping to pop out to Ikea one of the evenings this week to collect something for my Mom and stock up on some frames for some handmade Christmas gifts I’m planning. I’ve been angelic this week on my SW plan. I’ve not touched many carbs (apart from a handful of actifry chips on Saturday evening) and I’ve stayed within my syns every day so I’m hoping for a good loss on the scales on Tuesday evening.
This is what’s on the menu this week in our house;
Swede topped cottage pie
Szechuan pork and noodles
Chicken kievs, potato and vegetables (I’ll probably skip the potatoes)
Diet coke chicken
Butternut squash and chilli risotto
We’re still having to make seperate meals for Little Mr as he won’t eat the majority of what we eat for dinner. He’s not into spicy foods and is a bit funny with beef. He loves his chicken, pasta and vegetables so as long as we have those in the house he’ll be a happy toddler.
For work lunches, I’ll be having soups (either handmade spicy BNS soup or one of the new SW soups) and my breakfasts will mainly be fruit, yogurt and some sort of fibre. I never write about Little Mr’s breakfasts as he eats with his Grandparents at their house first thing, I wish we could all eat breakfast together but we just don’t get time before work. The joys of starting work in the office at 8am!
I’m linking up with Mrs M’s Meal Planning Monday and would love to hear what you’re eating this week.
