Living Arrows 2015 – Week 42

Living Arrows 2015 – Week 42

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” – Khalil Gibran

After a busy working week, we all love lazy weekends and this weekend has been just that. On Friday morning, Little Mr went to the dentist for his second ever appointment. The first appointment didn’t go very well at all and he point blank refused to sit in the chair and wouldn’t even let the dentist have a look in his mouth. He refused to open his mouth. Thankfully, this time he complied and sat in the chair and even opened his mouth wide for the dentist. Thank heavens for Peppa Pig who’s episode on visiting the dentist was on repeat for a while!

The day continued with our last Move with Peppa class and we’ve enjoyed it so much we’ve booked to do another six week course. We ended the day with  hair cut each and Little Mr was so good. He sat all by himself and let the stylist cut his hair. Some of the curls have gone but I’m confident they’ll grow back again.

We had a lazy Saturday and went over to my Parents house to visit my Grandparents. It was lovely to see them for a couple of hours. Little Mr was on form and spent the afternoon entertaining them wearing his cousins silly slippers and finding random hats from the shoe box under the stairs.

A lazy Sunday followed ticking household chores off the around the house and as Little Mr was being helpful we asked him if he could wear his new Christmas jumper so I could take some photographs. It’s a Santa top and he loved it, he didn’t want to take it off.  I was able to take some lovely photographs of him with the top and a Santa hat on which was great as it ticked another job off my Christmas to do list.

He’s looking so grown up these days. We’ll soon be planning his third birthday and boy, I’m not ready for that yet!

I’m glad the second dentist appointment went better. I suppose Peppa does have her uses after all! :)
