How quickly does Monday come around? This month we’ve reached the end of our food budget before the end of our month (well only by one day as hubby gets paid today luckily) but it did mean we were on a bit of a budget for the food shop yesterday. We decided to have a good sort out of our freezer and compile a list of all the things in the freezer than we had forgotten about. We have managed to stockpile frozen vegetables and now have a very large supply of cauliflower, broccoli, sweetcorn, peas, mushrooms, peppers and onions to use up over the next few weeks.
With the contents of the freezer in mind, we’ve compiled a list of what we’re eating this week. I’ll be eating a few different meals to stay on track with my diet but it does mean we’ll be using up lots of what we have in already.
Rich Beef Stew and mustard mash
Burgers, wedges and salad (SW burgers & synfree chips for me)
Meatballs and mash (SW multi-bean chilli for me)
Peri peri chicken with savoury rice and salad
SW Spaghetti Bolognese
Sausage, mash and vegetables (SW sausages for me)
I’m hoping to take any dinner leftovers to work for my lunches and have my usual breakfasts in the morning at my desk in work (does anyone else just not have time to eat at home before they go to work?)
We’ve got a pretty normal week ahead in store this week, hubby has darts, football and squash and i’m at Slimming World. On Friday night I’m going to my friends house for a pamper night which will be lovely so I’m really looking forward to that and hubby is djing at his friends birthday party, thank goodness for babysitting sisters!
Whatever you’re up to this week, have a good one!
