Mama’s night off with The Body Shop

The Body Shop

A couple of weeks ago I was invited along to the Birmingham Bull Ring store of The Body Shop for a bloggers night in to find out more about the new Spa of the World range. It was also a chance to be pampered by the lovely store staff, pick up some tips on how to apply and use the products and try out some of the latest range to hit the shelves.

The Body Shop

I have always been a fan of The Body Shop with happy memories of my teenage years spent in store trying out the make up and making £10 stretch to at least 3 make up products and still have change. Being a busy working Mama, I haven’t had chance to explore the latest products at The Body Shop so it was a nice treat to be able to walk around the store and pick up products without a little one nagging me to go home.

We were invited to take a seat and enjoy samples of the new Spa of the World range which is a luxury spa range with bath milk, massage oils, creams that can be enjoyed at home. I was lucky enough to have a couple of treatments applied to my skin by Imam and I was amazed at how lovely they made my skin feel.  The Moroccan Rhassoul Body Clay was applied and left to set and then was washed off and even in just fifteen minutes, I was surprised at how toned the skin on my arm felt and looked. Just imagine what it could do on the rest of my body!

After the clay was washed off, Imam massaged some Hawaiian Kukui Cream into my arm and it felt really lovely. It was light to apply and as Kukui oil helps to restore skin’s natural suppleness it left my arm feeling super soft and nourished.

After my treatments, I had a brilliant discussion with Jessica (one of the in-store skincare experts) and she gave me some brilliant advice on how to look after my skin and what products I could use to help rejuvinate my tired and dull looking skin. She introduced me to the Vitamin C range which takes advantage of the Camu Camuberries which is one of the worlds most potent natural sources of Vitamin C. I was treated to a facial using some of the range and although I did look a little silly, my skin felt and smelt amazing.

We all know I’m not a beauty blogger but I am a busy Mama with minimal time for pampering myself. As we were given a small discount on any products we wanted to purchase, I bought myself some of the Vitamin C range and as I’ve been using it over the last few weeks, I loved it and the results. I’ve been using the Vitamin C Skin Reviver and my skin feels refreshed and I love how smooth my skin feels after it’s been applied. It’s a definite new favourite of mine.

Huge thanks to all the ladies at The Body Shop, Birmingham for a fabulous night and the little bag of treats we took home. I’ll be back again soon to stock up.

Sounds so good that I can almost smell it. Oh I love anything and everything from the body shop. One of the best ways for me to relax is pampering my skin in the bath!
    Looking fresh doll xx

Oh Emma, I love this. The body shop is a firm favourite of mine. I remember when I was younger and me and my cousin would often spend our pocket money in the body shop. I was really gutted when the closed our local one down. My nearest store now is the trafford centre. I’m glad you’ve posted this as I’ve been toying with the idea of being coming a consultant. I think I’m going to look into it. Fab review and your skin looks lush :) xx
