Living Arrows – Week 37

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” – Khalil Gibran

It’s been a busy week for us all, work and back to school routines in full swing and by Thursday, we were all quite exhausted. Friday came around and Little Mr and I went to our new activity class ‘Move with Peppa’ which is a class that encourages little ones to get active (not that we need any help with that) but it mixes story telling with moving around with bean bags, balls and music. We had a lovely morning and Little Mr enjoyed himself especially when the class leader gave him his sticker and a wall chart to encourage him to get (more) active at home.

The rest of the weekend wasn’t as lovely as Friday evening I was woken up by a poorly little toddler. He had been sick in his bed and was completely covered in vomit. It was gross. The rest of the night followed with more sickness, baths and an hour and a half of Thomas the Tank on DVD and very little sleep but Little Mr was a trooper, he didn’t get upset, he just took it all in his stride and eventually fell asleep in his bed.

Yesterday, we managed to spend some time outside in the fresh air and Little Mr wanted to play on his trike and in his playhouse. He still wasn’t feeling 100% but it was nice to see him smile and playing.

I hate seeing him under the weather. It always affects his confidence and he becomes quite shy and clingy. I love the cuddles but I could happily forgo those for a happy healthy little fella.

Fingers crossed he has a good week and back on form to his usual happy, smiley, cheeky self.

It’s so nice when you get some normality in amongst the poorly – even if it’s just a few minutes in the fresh air. Gorgeous photos x

It’s heartbreaking to see your little one so out of sorts, isn’t it?

He still has such a cute smile, though. :)

Oh poor wee boy – and poor you too, it is not nice being on the clean up crew for a toddler! I’m glad he seems on the mend and hopefully this week and this weekend will be at the very least healthier!

Aww, poor Little Mr. It’s rubbish when they’re ill isn’t it? Lovely photos though and I hope that he feels better soon x #livingarrows

I'd love to hear from you
