How well did you sleep last night?

Sleep, it’s one of those things that we all wish we could get a little bit more of. As a busy working parent, I have to admit that sleep is pretty much one of the things I would love to get more of but it’s not always that easy when there’s washing, cooking and other household chores to do as well as go to work.

A recent survey by mattressnextday suggests that we would all like to get a bit more sleep. I find the survey results fascinating and tend to agree with a lot of the results.

I generally get about 6 hours sleep per night during the working week and that’s usually because I force myself to go to bed before 11pm as I know how tired I’ll be the next day if I don’t get at least six hours.

Of course the best way to ensure a good nights sleep is to restrict stimulation (no phones, televisions or tablets) before you go to bed, make a warm drink (no caffeine) and make your sleeping environment as welcoming and relaxing as possible.

    So true. I’m usually going to bed between 10.30 and 11pm but asleep around half 11 after using smartphone.
    I’d say I get about 6-7 hours sleep.
