Little Mr is a typical toddler. He loves to get outside and explore the great outdoors so when Globber got in touch and asked us if we could review their new My Free 2c scooter, I knew a certain little boy would be very excited and would jump at the chance.
The Globber My Free 2c scooter is a fun, starter scooter for little ones aged 3+. The scooter has three wheels, two at the front and one at the rear and has a low foot rest which is ideal for little ones learning to scoot. There is also a height-adjustable handlebar and a steering lock to allow toddlers to master balancing and scooting before throwing steering into the mix.
The height adjustable T-bar handlebar adjusts to three different height positions so will grow with your child. The handles are ergonomically designed for comfort and grip which is reassuring as you want to make sure your little one is holding on tightly when learning to scoot at speed.
The scooter has a steering lock so the Parent can initially lock the steering down to allow for little ones to learn how to ride a scooter and balance before letting them loose on learning how to steer. Little Mr has been learning to use the scooter with the lock on and it gives great peace of mind knowing that when the lock is on, he can’t steer himself into a ditch or into the path of someone else unexpectedly.
I love that the scooter has a covered rear brake as many toddler scooters don’t have this feature and can be quite un-nerving watching a toddler on a scooter unable to stop in full motion. Little Mr hasn’t quite got the hang of applying the brake just yet but he’s keen to keep practicing and that’s what growing up is all about.
We were sent a Globber My Free 2c Scooter in a stylish red and grey design which looks very stylish and looks rather trendy. I don’t think the scooter will look out dated in a few years so there’s plenty of growing room left in it with Little Mr.
What did we think
Overall, the Globber My Free 2c scooter is a great beginner scooter for little ones. I love the steering lock and think it’s a very clever feature. Little Mr has really enjoyed his afternoons at the park scooting along us as we walk.
It did take Little Mr a few weeks to take to the scooter but he’s never ridden on a scooter before and was a bit unsure of what to do. Fast forward, six weeks and he absolutely loves it and it won’t be long until the steering lock is taken off and he begins to learn how to steer.
The Globber My Free 2c scooter is priced at £54.99 and can be bought online or at major toy shops.
