Living Arrows 2015 – Week 25

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”

It’s not very often the boys get to spend the weekend together just Little Mr and his Daddy so whilst Mummy was away in London, this weekend was ‘a boys weekend’.

On Saturday, they went over to Solihull to spend the afternoon with my Aunty and the rest of the family for her 50th birthday. My cousin had also come down from Lancashire with his little boy for the weekend so it was great for Little Mr to meet his second cousin again and play with him so nicely in the back garden.

I was completely gutted to be missing out on the party (as I was at Britmums) but managed to FaceTime my Sister  in the evening who was there and wish my Aunty a very happy birthday as well as saying hello to everyone else.

Little Mr loved playing with his cousins. They are both older than him so he spent most of the evening running around after them and joining in the games. There’s so much fun you can have with a few patio chairs when you have the imagination of a child. Little Mr was overheard saying ‘You can’t park here mate’ as they were playing cars and then squabbling between themselves who the driver was!

I love this photograph of Little Mr and his first cousin. These two absolutely adore each other and I love that they were spotted giving each other a cuddle.

Little Mr spoke with great delight telling me all about the barbecue and playing with his cousins on Sunday when I got back. He loved spending time with them and it’s so good to see them altogether (even if it is on photographs, huge thanks to hubby for taking these for me) Events are like buses, nothing for ages then two come along at the same time! At least the boys had fun and the rest of the family enjoyed it.

I always think it’s so lovely when kids are close to their cousins – ready made friends! Gorgeous photos and so lovely to see you at the weekend – I’ve said that so many times now but it was just so nice :) x

Lovely photos. So nice when they’re close to other children in the family.

I also had a cousins photo today!

Good to have a chat this weekend at Britmums too. Hope you had a good time.

‘Events are like buses’; they sure are, aren’t they. Happy Birthday to your aunt too. And what lovely cuddle between cousins. It must have been such delight hearing all about his adventures when you were away. #LivingArrows
