Review: Leapfrog Learning Friends Play & Discover School Set

Little Mr was recently sent the Leapfrog Learning Friends Play & Discover School Set and it has been lots of fun to play with. Little Mr is at that age where imaginative play is second nature. Seeing him pick up a toy and play with it with such imagination is fascinating and the Learning Friends set has really encouraged him to develop this further.

The Learning Friends Play & Discover School Set is a bright and colourful set which depicts a fun and interactive classroom scene. Within the box you get the classroom, 3 Learning Friends (Monkey, Tiger and Turtle) a table, bonus video insert and a parent guide.

When we first took the set out of the box, Little Mr shouted “Wow Mummy, look!” He went straight for the little Learning Friends characters and looked at their faces. He loved to recognise the characteristics of familiar animals he’s been learning. The set is really easy to put together and it takes less than a minute to set it up. Just attach the slide to the side of the set, open the door, position the table and the set is ready to be played with.

The set has different features to play with; Circle Time where the characters can sit together and hear stories, songs and phrases. Place a different character in the seat and you’ll hear different interactions. There’s an interactive board at the back of the classroom which has 5 different school activities which are lead by Ms Giraffe; sharing time, greetings, story time, break time and free play.

Little Mr loves to play with the characters and slide Ms Giraffe along the set listening to the different phrases. He’s even been copying what she says which is really funny to listen to. There’s over 70 unique stories, songs and phrases so chances are your little one is going to have a different fun experience every time they play with it.

The Leapfrog Learning Friends Play & Discover School set is not only fun but it’s educational too. It’s introducing Little Mr to routines through pretend play and interaction. Little Mr’s been playing with the toy for over a month now and he loves to put the monkey at the top of the slide and let him slide down.

Leapfrog 5

The set is suitable for children aged 2 to 5 years and I’d say that’s pretty much spot on as Little Mr loves playing with it at 27 months old.

The Leapfrog Learning Friends Play & Discover School Set is priced at £24.99 from all major toy shops.

Little Mr has really enjoyed playing with his Learning Friends and every time we get the set out he always has fun. We would definitely recommend it for toddlers to play with and for parents who want to introduce routines to their little ones.
