Hurrah for the Bank Holiday! This weekend has been brilliant as I’ve been away in Leeds on my friends hen do. The boys have stayed at home getting in some quality male bonding time and it’s been a thoroughly enjoyable weekend.
I’m always conscious to do some meal planning on a weekend to make sure I have food in for Little Mr and SW friendly food for me. Poor hubby will eat anything so usually eats whatever is put in front of him.
We’ve ordered a delivery from Sainsburys this week. Hubby had a rather stressful food shopping experience last week with Little Mr throwing a full on strop in the supermarket refusing to sit in the trolley so as I was away until late afternoon we opted to get it delivered.
We usually shop wherever we have vouchers and money off coupons to spend so we do mix it up quite a bit between Sainsburys, Tesco and Morrisons. We like to add the pennies to the Nectar card or the Clubcard points and save them for Christmas treats.
We’ve got an enjoyable day planned for the Bank Holiday Monday, my nephew is turning 7 on Tuesday so we’ll be celebrating with him and the family. I’m only working on Thursday this week due to my lucky in-laws sunning themselves in Spain so Little Mr and I are planning some bonus days out just the two of us.
Here’s what we’ll be eating this week;
Omelettes with ham and salad
Lemon and herb chicken with rice and vegetables
Big Mac in a bowl with salad and actifry chips
Garlic chicken and oven roasted Mediterranean vegetables
SW friendly all day breakfast
Chicken curry, rice and onion salad
