Living Arrows – Week 13
“You are the bows from which your children as Living Arrows are sent forth”
This weekend we spent most of Saturday having a declutter of the house. We sorted out lots of things that were destined for recycling, the charity shop and for the tip. It’s by no means complete but we have tackled the bathroom, most of Little Mr’s room and made our bedroom space more clutter free.
Little Mr has been really good helping us with the tidying up and by helping I mean picking up things that we had put in piles and rearranging them, putting dirty washing back in the washing basket with the freshly dried clothes and emptying boxes but at least he was taking an interest so not all was lost.
On Sunday, we were treated to a mini lie-in from Little Mr. He didn’t stir until 8:30am which is brilliant (of course that would have been 7:30am had the clocks not gone forward) so we had a lazy breakfast and planned the rest of the day. I built a new toddler bed for Little Mr (review coming soon and sneaky peeks on Instagram) whilst hubby and Little Mr went to the supermarket for the weeks supplies.
Later in the day we headed over to my hubby’s Parents house as it was my Father-in-laws birthday. Little Mr adores his Grandad and managed to convince him to go out in to the garden for fun on his scooter in between rain showers. The weather got the better of them and so it was back in to the house and a game of cars. I love how he has a load of toys at both his Grandparents house, most of which were both mine and hubby’s when we were young. He just loves playing with cars and trucks and pretty much anything with wheels. It’s fascinating to watch his imagination come to life as he makes up dialogue for the cars as he rolls them over the table.
Guess who saw his freshly washed Walsall FC shirt in the clean laundry basket? Little Mr spotted it, grabbed it out the basket and said ‘oh I’ve missed you’ and gave it a kiss. My hubby is very proud with a mini Saddler in the house!
