Living Arrows – Week 12
“You are the bows from which your children as Living Arrows are sent forth”
We were lucky enough to witness the solar eclipse on Friday morning as the weather was ideal, blue skies and no clouds to distort our view. Little Mr loves being outside and although are back yard is hugely uninspiring at the moment, it’s a safe space for us to get outside, get some fresh air and enjoy the Spring sunshine.
We were lucky enough to watch the Moon move into the path of the Sun and although Little Mr didn’t really understand what was going on, he was amazed at watching the planes fly overhead and kept shouting ‘Look Mummy rockets!’. We tried to make a pinhole viewer to watch the eclipse but it was a bit rubbish so we just relied on the television for the good pictures.
This is the first time Little Mr has been able to go out in our back yard and play with his ride on cars. He’s got quite a collection of ride on toys now and he loves every one of them. They’re all played with on a very regular basis in the house so it was good to get them all outside and let him enjoy the freedom.
We bought Little Mr his Little Tikes Cozy Coupe last year but he didn’t really take much notice of it as he couldn’t make it move along the floor with his feet. Fast forward a year and he absolutely loves it. We gave it a good clean as it had been living outside since last Summer and he was well away. He loves making up games, parking the cars in lines and pretending to get petrol. It’s fantastic to watch his imagination come to life and so lovely to get some decent weather for once.
