Living Arrows 2015 – Week 11

Living Arrows – Week 11

It’s been a week of disturbed sleep, snot and temperatures in our house this week which unfortunately has meant we have all been a bit grumpy. We are all tired, we all need proper sleep and we need sunshine.

This weekend has been a productive weekend at home. We have been sorting through the clutter in Little Mr’s bedroom, sorting through outgrown clothes, unused baby items and the stuff I am guilty of keeping in the house ‘just in case’. We don’t need all this stuff so some of it has been listed on ebay, some of it has been donated to friends in need and some has been recycled. Little Mr’s bedroom is now feeling lots more spacious with room for him to play in, pick out his favourite books with ease and make better use of the space in the room.

We had a very lazy Sunday morning as everyone was feeling pretty rubbish, again we are suffering with sleep deprivation and there was no real rush to get up and get on with more housework. We had a lazy breakfast, I was given some beautiful Mother’s Day tulips and daffodils, a couple of cards and some lovely perfume.

We did some meal planning for the week ahead and then went upstairs to get dressed and sort out the washing. Little Mr joined Mikey (our westie dog) on our bed and had a rather sweet moment. These two are enjoying each others company of late which is wonderful to see. I think Little Mr is understanding more how to behave around Mikey and Mikey is becoming a lot more tolerant of Little Mr which is a relief as it’s not always been like this.

No lazy morning at home is complete without a book or two in our house and the book of choice this morning was The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Little Mr spent a good ten minutes reading the book and pointing at all the fruit, telling me what the caterpillar was eating. I love watching him read, it’s so lovely to watch.

How was your Mother’s Day? Hope you all had a lovely day spending time with your loved ones.
