A brand new month to play with, a fresh new set of weeks to plan for and a whole lot of meals to prepare and enjoy. This month is an exciting one for those of us who follow the Slimming World plan as it’s Free Food February. In groups and online throughout the month of February, members will be encouraged to cook and share the free foods that they already enjoy for family and friends.

In groups this week, members will be sharing ideas, recipes and inspiration as well as bringing along some tasters for everyone to enjoy. I really enjoyed the last taster session in group and picked up lots of ideas to try at home. I’m hoping to take in one of my favourite meals, tandoori chicken skewers, for my group to enjoy. I’ll definitely get a photograph before they get polished off in group and will make sure I take some notes of all the other tasty free foods on offer at the party.

There’s also an exciting new Slimming World recipe book coming out in groups over the next month. For those unable to buy a countdown, the book will be available in group shops from March onwards.
I’ve excitingly been sent a copy of the new book to have a look at and cook some meals from over the next few weeks and I can’t wait to be able to show you how you can create tasty family friendly meals whilst food optimising with Slimming World and lose weight at the same time!
