Menkind, an online Gifts and Gadgets store, are helping busy families find ways of making their every day lives a little bit easier. They sell a range of gadgets that will do just that and we have been lucky enough to test a couple out over the Christmas and New Year holidays to see how they can help us achieve a more straightforward life.
As a busy working Mama, I rely on several gadgets to get me through the day, most of which involve my smart phone and my tablet. Everything I do in life pretty much is in or with my smart phone; play dates, appointments, contact numbers, taking photographs, updating social media. I really would be lost without it and as many iPhone users will know the battery life is appalling and doesn’t last half as long as it should.
The weekender mega power bank
This gadget is amazing. The weekender mega power bank lets you charge a smartphone or tablet on the go. Without getting too technical, the power bank has 10400 mAh of power which basically means it can charge an iPhone fives times over. There’s a nifty magnetic compartment to keep cables safe when not in use and it’s compatible with all smartphones and tablets.
This power bank is a lifesaver. It’s small enough to keep in a handbag so great to carry around and it’s great for weekends away from home, festivals and holidays.
I’ve used the weekender power bank since it arrived and I love it. I wouldn’t be without it. It’s fantastic for the end of the day at work when I need to charge my phone for the drive home or when you’re out all day and you forgot to charge your phone the night before (we’ve all been there!)
The weekender mega power bank is priced at £49.99 and is definitely an investment piece but definitely worth the money.
Click Stick Monopod
Last Christmas it seems everybody got a selfie stick in their christmas stockings and I was no exception. What fun they are? The click stick monopod is fantastic. It’s basically an extendable pole (up to 1 metre) that clamps your smart phone onto the end and enables you to take a photograph of yourself from a distance.
The click stick is compatible with most smart phones. You don’t need to pair it up to use it, just plug the cable into the smart phone and click away. Android users may need to download an app but it’s fairly simple to use.
It’s been brilliant fun over Christmas. We’ve used it at family parties and gatherings and it’s caused quite a giggle. It’s been fun to use and will definitely be used more this year.
The click stick monopod is priced at £19.99 and would make a fantastic gift for those who love to take photographs and selfies as much as I do.
