I don’t really know where the months are going at the moment but it’s only 3 weeks until Christmas and only 11 working days left at work, yes I’m counting! I’m tired and need a break so i’m willing the next few weeks to hurry up so I can spend some quality time with my hubby and Little Mr.
It’s been a good week on plan. I planned ahead and made sure I had SW friendly meals throughout the week. I even took my own salad to the Cosatto blogger event last week and said ‘No’ to cakes, wraps and other yummy goodies. I baked some delicious synfree crustless quiche over the weekend for my lunches this week and they’re delicious. I’ve cut out the crisps and replaced them with some Ryvita thins to have some additional fibre and I really like them. I also got savvy with the veg in the fridge. The dates were very short on them so I cut them all up, bagged them and put them in the freezer for when I need them.
I weighed in last night and lost 1lb. Honestly, I was disappointed. I want bigger losses. I’m 36lb down but I’ve still got a long way to go. I don’t even know what my target is yet it’s so far off but I know it’s going to take me a long time to get there with 1lb loss each week. I know a loss is a loss but I still want more. I can’t help feeling like this but it’s so disheartening to see a small loss when you’ve planned what you’re eating, stuck to your guns and resisted everything remotely naughty.
Oven roasted vegetables – love all those colours
So this week, I’m trying success express for a few days which is where you have two thirds superfree at every meal with one third full of free foods. You can also have one HEXA and two HEXB. Today I’ve had a lovely breakfast of yoghurt, all bran and raspberries, strawberries and grapes. Lunch was a packed superfree salad with chicken and 3 crustless quiche and for my dinner I’ve had speedy chicken and vegetable rice which was basically a chicken stir fry with rice, an egg scrambled on top and it was delicious. I’ve synned 3 Kinder chocolates (10.5 syns) and I’ve had near on 3 litres of water plus a couple of cups of tea. I’ve snacked on carrot sticks and an apple and I really hope i’m doing this plan right. I am desperate for more than 1lb loss next week!
So this week I’ve got a couple of things lined up that I need to negotiate. I’m catching up with a friend on Friday and we’ve got our annual family pre-Christmas meal on Sunday. I am going to be mega on-plan this week and choose wisely when out so hopefully my efforts will be rewarded next week.
There’s three weigh-in’s left before Christmas, I’ve got 6lb to lose to get my 3 stone loss award.. Can I do it? I’ll give it a go!
