Last week I mentioned that I wasn’t very pleased with my recent weightloss efforts. Whilst I was still being really good and on plan with literally every meal, I didn’t feel like I was being rewarded on the scales. I spoke to my consultant who told me about Slimming World’s success express plan which is where you eat 2/3 of a plate of superfree food and 1/3 free, have 2 healthy extra B choices and plenty of water. It’s not a plan to stick to all week but SW recommend a couple of days to three, if you want a boost in your weightloss. I had to give it a go and I was pleased I did.
I lost 4lb this week. 18 weeks ago I would have never believed I could lose this weight within the time frame. I am super charged now to get that 3 stone loss award in the bag before Christmas and really hope I can do it. I’m going to follow Success Express again for a few days to see if it’ll help me shift that pesky two pounds for next week but I’m not sure how well it will happen on the back of the lovely meal I enjoyed on Sunday. I shall give it a good go anyway and see how I get on.
I’m really motivated at the moment to keep on track. I’m learning lots more about my self discipline and have realised that in the past I have always associated food as a treat or as a comforting thing. I’m really trying to ignore all the old habits of rewarding myself with food but allowing myself a piece of chocolate each night as part of my daily syn allowance. It hasn’t harmed me much yet so I’m going to carry on with that.
Clothes wise, my ‘new’ sized jeans and work trousers are now getting bigger for me. I can grab the material at the side of my trousers and can actually see the shape of my legs changing. They’re only small changes to everyone else but to me that is a huge boost. I can’t wait to be able to buy normal sized pretty bras instead of the boring, granny style ones I have been wearing for far too long! These are the treats that will mean a whole lot more to me, more than any bar of chocolate will!
So this week, I’m a happy bunny on the scales. I was awarded Slimmer of the Week for the 7th time and hope that I may be able to sneak the Slimmer of the Month award in December for the forth consecutive month.
I’ve got to dream big as I’ve got a long way to go (realistically another 5 or 6 stone) to shift before I am anywhere near my healthy BMI. Smaller achievable targets are probably the only way to tackle such a weightloss so I’m going for it!
Have a good week if you’re facing them this week, limit the damage a good Christmas can do. There’s no better time to start!
