Christmas gift ideas for New Mums or Mums-to-be

mum to be gift ideas

I can’t quite believe it but two years ago over Christmas I was 33 weeks pregnant with my beautiful Little Mr. I had told a lot of my family and friends when asked that I didn’t really want anything for Christmas as they had all been very kind in gifting us with presents for Little Mr’s impending arrival. Of course, they didn’t listen to me and bought some lovely gifts for me anyway which I found really lovely.

If you’ve got a friend or relative who is pregnant and expecting over Christmas or in the New Year, here’s some ideas of some gifts that new mums or mums-to-be will really like.

I was very forgetful during pregnancy and especially after Little Mr’s birth so a diary for the new year would be great. I really love Mum’s Office, the big family diary for writing down all the essential appointments, dates and addresses.

My skin became very dry during pregnancy so I had to make sure that I regularly moisturised as dry skin can be really painful in the cold weather. I loved this Mum and Me Bump gift set for Mums-to-be to keep their skin soft and is also a little bit of a pamper treat for expecting Mums.

Chocolate was a bit of a must for me during pregnancy and I think every Mum likes a bit of a treat every now and then. This fabulous tin is perfect for keeping Mum’s treats safe for just when she needs it.

If you’re thinking of organising your Mum-to-be a gift hamper, then you’ll want to look at the range of goodies available from the Pregnancy Nutrition experts, Mumkind. There’s a fab range of items to choose from including Ginger Me Baby Lozenges and Water Our Way Water Enhancers. Prices start from £2,99 so are very affordable for your gift hamper.

The Bump to Birthday journal was an essential part of me being able to record my pregnancy with Little Mr and makes a beautiful gift for a Mum expecting a baby.

Once I had reached a certain stage of my pregnancy, I couldn’t wear my usual shoes or socks. My feet had swollen up and they were really painful. A pair of cosy snuggly socks would have been ideal to keep my feet warm and would have fitted me really well. I would definitely recommend these for a new Mum-to-be.

My final recommendation for a gift for an expecting or new Mum is a Rockin Baby Sling or Pouch. I wish I had worn one of these earlier with Little Mr and receiving one for Christmas would have gone down really well. What’s more, for each sling purchased Rockin’ Baby will donate a sling to a mother in need in Haiti or Kenya. How lovely is that? Such a fabulous way to help others.

Disclaimer: I haven’t been asked to include the links in this guide, I really love these products and think a new Mum or Mum-t0-be would love them.
