Advent isn’t just for the kids and I’m delighted to be taking part in the The Body Shop Advent Calendar showcasing 24 bloggers reviewing 24 of the must-have The Body Shop products.
As a busy working Mummy, my daily make up routine is unfortunately rather neglected. I don’t wear much make up for work if any, but I do try and make time to ‘put my face on’ if we’re off out and seeing friends. I like to try new things and experiment with my make up so was delighted to have been sent The Body Shop Vitamin E Cool BB Cream and Vitamin E Eye Cream to review and I’ve really enjoyed testing them out.
Vitamin E Cool BB Cream
The Vitamin E Cool BB Cream in ‘Glowing Shade’ is a BB cream with a difference. Instead of covering all blemishes like usual BB creams that I have tried (and I’ve tried a few), it gently covers blemishes and illuminates the skin giving it a fresh and ‘glow’ like appearance. It didn’t feel heavy on my skin which I was pleased with as I hate feeling like I have too much on my skin.
The Vitamin E Cool BB Cream is quite thick but is really nice to apply to the skin and gives a nice velvety finish. It gives great coverage and helps even the skin tone which is ideal when the little one has been up throughout the night or my skin is suffering with the weather. I’ve found that it does help moisturise my skin for the working day but I would use it on top of my usual moisturiser as my skin is quite dry.
To apply, use the fingertips to smooth onto the skin.
The Vitamin E Cool BB Cream is priced at £11 for 50ml and as a little really does go a long way, I’d definitely buy this again to use as part of my make up routine.
Vitamin E Eye Cream
If I ever needed a cream to help reduce appearance of fine lines, puffiness and dark circles it’s now. I’ve been using the Vitamin E eye cream every morning and evening before bed for the last couple of weeks and I think I can tell a difference. The cream is used sparingly around the eye and it’s easy to blend it in to the skin to help brighten up the skin under the eyes.
The eye cream has a lovely light texture and it doesn’t feel like you’re wearing anything at all which I really like. It doesn’t feel greasy and doesn’t leave a shine on the skin which some eye creams can.
The Vitamin E Eye Cream is priced at £11 for 15ml which may seem expensive but again a little does go a long way and helps to reduce wrinkles and puffiness. I’ll definitely be buying this again.
