This week’s Meal Planning Monday was cobbled together on quite a tight budget. It’s the end of our month and there’s four whole days until payday. We’ve managed to raid the freezer, the cupboards and put several supermarket coupons to good use and come up with a Slimming World friendly meal plan for the week ahead.
This week there’s a few things happening in the evenings; hubby is at darts on Monday, I’ve been asked to help at weigh in at my Slimming group and i’m off to a blogging event in Birmingham on Wednesday evening. Fast forward to Friday and we’re off to our local Prezzo Restaurant to check out their Christmas menu. Not sure how friendly the meal will be on the diet but I’ll behave myself and try and choose wisely.
This is what we’re eating this week;
Slow Cooker Jacket Potatoes – toppings to be decided
Sausage, mash and seasonal vegetables
Chilli con carne
Turkey burgers with salsa and a salad
Pizza topped chicken, oven roasted vegetables and wedges
I really want a decent loss this week so I can get on my way to bagging that 3 stone loss award by Christmas. I’ve got six weigh ins until Christmas and although there’s a couple of Christmas meals, a party and a wedding reception in there I’m hoping to achieve it.
For lunches this week, I’ll be having soup or my usual chicken salads. Hubby bought a bargain bag of Potato and Leek soup mix from the supermarket so I’m cooking that up in the hope it’ll be nicer than my own soups that I’ve been making of late.
