I love Autumn. I love the changing colours of the leaves, blankets of fallen leaves underfoot and the cooler weather settling in. Last weekend, we escaped outside in between showers and went to visit our local park for some fresh air. The park is so pretty in the mid-afternoon light. You can see all the beautiful colours around and there’s always lots of leaves to run through.
Little Mr absolutely loves wearing his wellies. And why not? They are pretty awesome.
I really love this photograph. It shows my 2 most favourite people hand in hand on their way to adventure. Little Mr just loves the freedom of being able to run around and explore. Obviously the dog loves being outside and was more than happy to accompany us on our walk.
The sun was setting as we started to walk home and the sky was a mix of beautiful pinks and corals as the sunshine hit the clouds. It was really beautiful.
So whilst the weather is still kind to us we’ll be getting outside as much as we can. The fresh air is always good to blow away any cobwebs and it’s nice to spend some time with the family, just us. Little Mr is amazing us everyday with the words he’s coming out with and the things he does and this was no exception as he heard a plane over head. He looked us and cupped his ear shouting ‘Mama ‘copter Mama’. He followed the helicopter high in the sky with his eyes until it flew over some trees and then he waved and said ‘Bye bye ‘copter’. It’s so cute to see him learning and stringing words together as he’s learning.
I just love Autumn and with half term this week, we’ll be getting out as much as we can if the weathers kind to us. Luckily I’ve got a couple of days annual leave and hubby will be taking care of Little Mr whilst I am at work. I love the bond that these two develop over the holidays. It’s pretty special.
Have a great half term if you’re children are off school. Make some memories and enjoy yourself and them. We don’t get long in life to enjoy the small things but they really are the best.
