I’m into my sixth week on the Slimming World plan and so far, I have been very pleased with how the weeks have gone. I have, to date, lost 15.5lb which is just over ONE stone and I couldn’t be any happier!
I’m definitely in ‘the zone’. I’m feeling focused and determined. One of the mechanisms that has really helped me over the last six weeks is meal planning. Every Sunday, hubby and I sit down and look at our plans for the week ahead; are we both in during the evenings? are we all eating? when is Little Mr at my Parents house etc? We look at the meat we have in the freezer and what ingredients we have in the cupboards and we meal plan. I’ve been using the Slimming World website and have scoured the internet for other recipes as well as speaking to other people who are following the same plan for meal ideas and tips.
Here’s what we’ve been eating for Dinner over the last few weeks;
Diet coke Chicken
Chicken Stir Fry
Gammon with Slimming World Chips
Lemon and Herb Chicken
SW Meatballs and Pasta
Omlette and Salad
We do eat a lot of chicken but we like it. We like red meat but have to be careful with hubby’s cholesterol and Little Mr isn’t a big fan. The same goes with fish, we’re both not that keen! We have to vary the recipes in how we use chicken and so far we’ve enjoyed what we have eaten.
We’ll continue to meal plan as I do believe it’s part of my success to date and this is a brilliantly reminder of why it’s so important.
