After my elation of my first week’s weigh in result, I was keen to get week 2 on Slimming World off to a good start. Hubby and I did some meal planning and looked at what meals we wanted throughout the week. We’re still trying to make meals that the whole family can eat rather than making two different meals so we wrote up a list and went off shopping.
This week apart from being at work, we went to the farm and spent the day at LolliBop and I was conscious that I would be eating out and if I didn’t plan and take my food with me, I would fall off plan and eat the yummy foods in the café or in the food bars. I planned well and took my salads and foods that I could syn easily if I ate them.
The weekend went well and we ate good meals. I’m still a bit wary of eating a lot of potatoes. I know you can eat potato and pasta and rice on plan but my head still says it’s carbs and bad for you.
On Tuesday at weigh in I lost 1.5lb taking my total over two weeks to 9lb. I was a little disappointed with the result this week but having looked at the bigger picture, it’s still a loss and that’s good. Gosh, the memories of my previous WW journey are flooding back and how I used to ‘prepare’ for weigh in; stop drinking after 3pm, don’t eat ‘heavy’ foods during the day and go to the toilet as much as possible. It’s silly really the tactics we go to, to see a greater loss on those scales!
I’m hoping for another loss this week so will be drinking lots of water, making sensible choices and hope to do more body magic (i.e exercise) this week.
