Swimming with Konfidence | A review

When Konfidence asked Little Mr and I to become one of their Swimologists we were delighted. It had been a few months since we had last been in the swimming pool following our previous session of swimming lessons (whilst I was on maternity leave) so it gave me a fantastic incentive to get back into the pool with Little Mr. We were lucky enough to have been given a selection of Konfidence goodies, as part of our swimologist role, to use in and around the pool and over the last 12 weeks we have been putting them to the test.

The Babywarma

The Babywarma is a brilliant addition for Little Ones in the pool. The Babywarma is a neoprene wetsuit designed just for babies and keeps them warm in often chilly swimming pools. The pool at the local hotel where we had our swimming lessons was a little chilly so it was perfect to an another layer of warmth meaning that we could stay in the pool for longer and enjoy our lessons.

The Babywarma is designed to open up completely so you can lie little ones flat to get them changed. The velcro fastening allows you to fit the babywarma around your little one and can be adjusted to suit their size. We really love that there is a velcro fastening between babies legs which is perfect for changing nappies easily without getting the little one completely undressed. It was very easy to use and we just love the Clownfish print. The Babywarma is also 100% UV protective when used outside which is brilliant news as we’ve been enjoying the paddling pool in the warmer weather just recently.

Little Mr wears the Konfidence Babywarma in Clownfish design.

The Aqua Nappy

The Aqua Nappy is a reusable nappy designed for little ones to wear in the pool to keep them clean and ultimately happy in the pool. The Aqua Nappy has a triple layer protection system so you don’t need to wear any other nappy in the pool. Just adjust the nappy to fit using the clever velcro sash and poppers and you’re good to let the little one splash in the pool. Rest assured, that if there are any accidents in the nappy in the pool, the elasticated legs fit well to prevent any leaks. The Aqua Nappy is also machine washable and washes well on a 30 degree wash.

Little Mr wore the Aqua Nappy on the first couple of swimming lessons that we had. It seemed to fit well and I was happy that he was comfortable in it. After using the Aqua Nappy in the pool during our lessons it did rub his hip on the one side. I wasn’t sure if I had made it too tight but I was aware of this every other time we used it and we had no problems.

The Neo Nappy

The Neo Nappy is a waterproof nappy cover which is designed to fit over the Aqua Nappy as another layer of protection against any leaks. The Neo Nappy also provides a layer of warmth is babies are in the pool without any other swimsuit on. I loved Little Mr’s neo nappy in Clownfish design, it had stretchy lycra hems which fit Little Mr really well.

Roll & Go Baby Changers

This is an essential bit of kit when taking Little Mr swimming. I’m a bit fussy with changing room floors so when getting Little Mr dressed after his lesson, the Roll and Go Baby Changer is perfect for his little feet and bottom and prevents him slipping over and injuring himself.

Made from the same material as the Babywarma and the NeoNappy, the Roll and Go changer is soft to stand on and has a non-slip back. The changer is easy to clean and is chlorine resistant so will last for a long time. It also rolls up and is easily stored in your swimming bag. I hate changing room floors so this has been a very welcome addition to our swimming kit.

As you might have read previously our swimming lessons didn’t go as well as I had hoped. There were lots of tears but I’m pleased to say that having been back in the pool after our lessons just last week, we had progress; no tears, lots of splashes and smiles from Little Mr.. hurrah! If your little one is unhappy in the pool, you can read these top tips from SwimTime to make the most of your time in the pool.

All the Konfidence products we have been reviewing are available online and are very reasonably priced. We, without doubt would highly recommend Konfidence for all your little one’s swimming needs.

We would love to thank Konfidence for selecting us as swimologists. It has been an exciting journey for us over the last few months in the pool and I’m really pleased (& quite relieved) that Little Mr is beginning to enjoy his time in the water. The lessons with Swimtime have been rewarding and I’m sure that as long as we continue swimming with him, Little Mr’s confidence in the pool will increase.

Disclaimer: We were sent a bundle of goodies from Konfidence for use during our swimming lessons, which were also gifted to us,  as part of the swimologist ambassador scheme. All views are my own and this forms an honest and reliable review.

I really envy your swimming with Little Mr. We have still not taken the kids swimming as much as I would like. I can’t swim so it’s not something I naturally think of doing with the kids. I’d love to take them regularly soon x
