Walk on Son, walk on

We knew it was going to happen at some point after seeing Little Mr take his first few independent steps last week but we were not sure when it would happen. Imagine my surprise when I walked into my in-laws house on Wednesday evening after work to see a wobbly walking Little Mr coming my way. He looked so incredibly proud of himself and began clapping his hands. A  few days short of his 16th month birthday, my Little Mr can now walk.

He’s been walking with assistance for a while but he never had the confidence of putting one foot in front of the other and moving forward. We had a walker for him which we left at his Grandparents so he could practice his steps during the day and it’s really helped him build the strength in his legs as well as getting out in to the garden and enjoy the sunshine.

Of course, blurry action photos are now a given

I’m so proud of him, the silly health visitor who said she would call and check up on his progress after his last health assessment can do one. He’s done it in his own time and he’s taking every step on a journey of discovery. You have the world to explore Son and I’ll be right behind you, every step of the way.

It’s an amazing achievement for him, I’m so proud of how well he’s doing. He amazes me every single day. Little Mr’s journey is to be continued, one step at a time…x

Oh yay for Little Mr!!! They all do get there in their own time. Little Man is very nearly 13 months and has started standing up unsupported but no sign of movement yet! x

    aww such an amazing moment!
My 3 were lazy little ones who started walking at 15mths, 16mths & 17mths – they certainly do do it in their own time!
