Review: Little Yums from Plum Baby

I’m always excited to try out new baby and toddler snacks as Little Mr has an amazing ability to like something for a few days and then immediately go off it the next. My cupboards are bursting full of snacks that he has once enjoyed and then has pushed away the next time I have offered it him, I am persistent though and will re-offer snacks he has once declined. We were recently sent a new baby and toddler teething snack from Plum Baby to try out called Little Yums so I was keen to find out how we would get on.

What are Little Yums?

Little Yums are organic nibbly wafers available in two different flavours; spinach, apple and kale and pumpkin and banana. I really like that the wafers are made with no added sugar, salt, artificial flavours, colours or preservatives which makes them a healthy alternative to other teething biscuits on the market. Little Yums are individually wrapped in packets of 3 wafers so are ideal for taking out and about and keeping in the changing bag for a quick snack.

The snacks are aimed at babies who have just started Stage one weaning as they dissolve easily when put in the mouth. The wafers are quite rigid to hold so perfect for little hands to grasp and begin feeding themselves.

What Little Mr thought..

On first tastes Little Mr didn’t seem too fussed by the Spinach, Apple and Kale wafers. He had a few nibbles but threw it on his high chair tray and refused to touch it again. We have since tried the same flavoured wafers again and he’s taken to them and eaten more of them. The Pumpkin and Banana wafers have been enjoyed more and Little Mr has eaten these as a snack with some yoghurt on an afternoon.

Although the Little Yums have been enjoyed by Little Mr, I don’t think I will be buying any more. He hasn’t enjoyed them enough to warrant me buying more and for storing in the cupboard but wouldn’t hesitate to buy them for him if he had eaten more of them.

The Little Yums are priced at £2.49 for a box of 6 x 3 wafers and are available from Tesco, Sainsbury and Ocado.

I received some of these in a Nonabox and they had pretty much the same reception by our Little Man as your Little Mr – A few nibbles and discarded! x
