Today, Little Mr and I have been at The Baby Show at the NEC in Birmingham. We had plans to visit several of our favourite brands to see their latest products and see what offers were on as well as meeting friends we hadn’t seen for a while so I was excited to attend the show.
Our first port of call was Cosatto where we loaned a Supa Stroller in Pixelate (a bloggers perk!) for the day. The Supa is an awesome stroller, it’s got brilliantly bright colours, some really nice features including a cup holder and the controversial multimedia gadget pocket which for the record, kept Little Mr happy and quiet for over an hour whilst we browsed the show.
We then headed over to Fisher Price who were launching their new First Steps Jumperoo and Little Mr was given the chance to test it out. The new jumperoo on first glance is rather large but we were shown it in its extended mode which is ideal for babies who are showing signs of being on the move and want to attempt walking about. The jumperoo features all the usual eye catching toys that you would expect from Fisher Price including a lion mirror, frog roller ball, butterfly bead bar and hanging bird. I really liked that the seat can be turned 360 degrees allowing the baby to use the jumperoo to the full. The seat cover is also machine washable so that’s a bonus.
The Fisher Price First Steps jumperoo looks like a lot of fun and Little Mr spent a good ten minutes in the jumperoo playing with the toys and using his legs to bounce up and down and turning around. This looks like an ideal purchase to get babies moving more and building the strength up in their legs providing there is adequate space in the home so baby can move freely in the jumperoo without restrictions.
We then headed over to some of our favourite brands to say hello and catch up with our contacts. That’s one thing I really like about The Baby Show is the chance to put a face to an email contact after speaking to so many of them over the last few years.
After a quick bite to eat, we headed over to meet Xaviera from The Wonder Weeks to say hello and meet her in person to say thank you for last weeks interview. She really is a lovely lady and is happy to answer any questions if you swing by her stand.
I was able to have a good look at some products I had wanted to see up close and personal as well as checking out some prices for a few bits and pieces for Little Mr.
There are literally tons of offers on at The Baby Show, so if you’re heading there this weekend, you might just want to take a bit more cash as probably every stand has offers on their usual prices.
– BRITAX are offering a £130 discount on the new BOB Revolution Pro (review coming soon) and a generous £170 off the BRITAX Affinity.
– Get your hands on The Wonder Weeks book for just £10 instead of £15.99
– Grab a Prima Baby and Pregnancy Goody Bag for just £2. There are some brilliant bits in there including 2 magazines, nappy samples, nappy rash cream, Cussons Mum and Me toiletries, a couple of toys and lots more.
– Some great deals on Tommee Tippee bottles and soothers
– Save £5 on the Melobaby Nappy Wallet which is up for grabs at £24.95
– Treat the little one to a Toto Kidogo Parklon Playmat for only £70 (medium) or £99 (large)
We have had a fantastic day and I’m pleased to say Little Mr is now fast asleep after such a busy day. If you’re off to The Baby Show over the weekend, let me know what you’ve been buying.
